EA has just announced that he next Jedi Training Rey (JTR) event, Rey’s Hero Journey, is coming on the 24th of this month (Jan. 24, 2019). JTR is a great lead offensively and currently a critical character for beating the Heroic Sith Raid.
In phase one of the sith raid, it’s really hard to get less than 5 million. You can do up to about 13% of phase 1 Nihulis with the right team (see video). The team consists of JTR, BB8, R2, Scavenger Rey, and Resistance. Zeta Visas Marr is really fun to use with this team too. You do a bit less damage but can leave it on auto until protection against annihilation with the shield ability. R2 burns the minions of Nihulis off.
JTR is not as dominate in arena as she used to be. I’ve stubbornly still using a JTR lead team in the arena and had the plan to switch after the next Revan event. But with the introduction of C3PO, I beat Traya and Revan teams easy. I use JTR, BB8, R2, C3P0, and Chewy and if I can my logins in the final hour i can make top 10 or 20.

Note that the Veterans are very long cantina farms so they will take a long time…
Gear wise, BB8 and Finn have the most utility elsewhere in the game and are worth gear 12. Scavenger Rey is useful in sith raid and has decent output but you may have not need to take her that far. The veterans are just average and there are much more useful characters in the game.
